So I've read about xkcon's ripoff mod being about turning FT into a more open world, but I see mods like Awaken and the descriptions are vague.

I'd appreciate some better info on some of the bigger mods out there. Do they add the existing sequence of the game? More missions that are in the existing game, or something loaded separately or just standalone maps? I've always felt each bunker location need an extra mission roughly. I wasn't looking for a new game with new characters. Just...

I'll may be in need of help again with some hex verification and edit...

I noticed a very annoying bug with broken electric systems in my mod, that strangely "repair themselves", so quickly even that they simply never appear to be broken when my maps are visited for the first time... That made me realize that entities (in this case turrets) heal themselves over time, even though their entity healing rate is fixed to 0. If I fix it to -1, it dies. What can I do? Could somebody check using...

I was playing with a map and noticed something odd. First I tought that all my animated tiles were broken, maybe because of FT Improver engine or something. But then I realized that some of my animated tiles were working fine, and more than that, that they seemed to have a "A" flag attached to them.

It must mean an "Animated" flag needed to actually remind the engine to animate those tiles. I checked, but it seems that there is no way to flag a tile this way in the Editor. And I check in...

So I'm in the editor and it refuses to open select items, specifically the medical enhancers like 1st Aid kits and doctor bags. For some odd reason 2mmEC ammo as well. I get the failed entry read notice trying to open them. Won't let me put any of these things in a character or vehicle inventory either.

It was a new game install. Ran 1.27 patch, ran Booster, ran patch again because help thread said to do that. The last was the only thing I did new this time because I saw the advice to...

Ok, so I've been trying to create different types of maps in the last time, and I reached the conclusion that it takes a lot of time when building unique maps. I bet the FOT dev team worked like 3 persons on a single map to create such realistic terrain and buildings.

The tiles are hard, it's like a puzzle, it takes some time to create a good shape. So I've been thinking there should be a program to randomize shapes. Build floor shapes quickly without putting to much time in the landscape....

Been fiddling around with some of the editors recommended in old threads, and I can't seem to get a single one of them to function properly. The closest I seem to get is with FOTgee, but I don't have even the slightest clue how to actually make any use of that editor despite my best efforts to understand it. Any help or links to functioning editors would be appreciated. FOTedit says I'm running the wrong version of windows, BOSCHE gives me an error message about lacking named/unnamed save...

Question about adding turrets on custom made maps

Hi!

Sorry to bother you guys, but I was wondering if any of you have had the same issue where you try to add turrets to custom made maps with the fallout tactics level editor but the turrets wont shoot or do anything else if controlled by the AI. I am using FT Improver, and I have tried to copy the "set turret script state" from the main missions but I can't get them to work. Im using the basic turrets that are in the entities_0 file.

Anyone know what might be the most likely mistake Im...

Changed Farsight in the editor and everything saves except looks.

Replaced boring old Farsight with a new character and everything i did in the editor but the looks are saved, She still has the same hair color etc as the OG Farsight instead of what i used in the editor.

My guess is that you actually have to fix this on the mission map aswell? Never really done much besides changing one of the prefab characters and/or potraits.

Using the editor included with the game patch I note that every change I make in the editor results in a repeat of the same entity file put in the Virtual Store portion of the user's AppData, instead of actually altering the original game file in the Program Files. So it seems the game first checks the AppData dupe and ignores the original program file.

So it brings to mind a few questions. First off, why? Second is do these dupe files speed things up or slow the game down? Third, could...

I have made two custom characters. One for the main character, as a pre-made that you can just 'Take' it from New Game menu(simply call 'Ech'), and the other that has been planned to replace Farsight and Stitch at the first mission(simply call 'Ach').

Here's some issues I'm having with that I cannot figure out how to work around.

1. Ech starts with 0. That's right. It's dead before you even pick it and start the game. I have made Ech by selecting 'File' > 'New' > 'Actor' at the Entity...
