I won't beat around the bush too much since my opinion on Tactics is fairly well known (I like it a lot and think it is underrated), so I will jump right into it. This will be scattershot since I am fairly new to Tactics modding and a lot of the threads related to it...I did do my research though.

This post is intended as a place to collect information on all known and suspected engine bugs in Fallout Tactics 1.27, as well as known fixes or workarounds for each.

Note that this list does not include map or entity errors, broken quests, etc., as these are fixable with the game editor tools. A separate thread can be created for these (or take a look at the FOT Redux project, as it fixes a large number of these).

Hi few days ago i get another game in my "modding workshop" after Ufo Xcom, Gothic 2 etc... :)
I have a big fondness for the Fallout series and now i want play again in FT but i want some changes because i finisched orginal campaigns many times.

Now i create in tool editor new extra characters, add bosses, rebuild some maps but...
My question is:
How to add two missions from demo single version to my campaign full game 1.27 of course
They do not have to be associated with oryginal quest....

I propose having a new type of entity. A meta-entity.

A meta entity is collection of entities. Each will be assumed to be on same team, and be the same player. Assuming health applies, if one is destroyed all are destroyed.
A meta entity physically has only one of its entities known to the game engine in the same space and time. This entity we'll call the Ranking Entity.
A meta entity may be configured to have one or more of its entities active overall. Active would mean possibly accessible...

Ok, so I've been trying to create different types of maps in the last time, and I reached the conclusion that it takes a lot of time when building unique maps. I bet the FOT dev team worked like 3 persons on a single map to create such realistic terrain and buildings.

The tiles are hard, it's like a puzzle, it takes some time to create a good shape. So I've been thinking there should be a program to randomize shapes. Build floor shapes quickly without putting to much time in the landscape....

Does anyone want to resize the power armors? Because I did it manually. Only some of the images, for example the punching animation isn't resized because it takes very much time.
In the following image there's the omega power armor resembling the frank horrigan physique. Like 12 ft tall.

My question is, is there a program or a .bat file to do it auto? Grab the pics from the .spr file (from the jarekfall's program) then modify the .bmp by adobe photoshop.

Change Portrait Style?

My question is;

Can I change the portraits so that they no longer have green lines over them?
For example;

The green lines show over the actual portrait in-game and I suppose thats one of the things fallout always did. But in my new project I will be needing a more photo-realistic approach to the portraits. I know that the actual png/zar for each portrait does not have the lines but I can't seem to find where else they may be coming from...

I am wondering if there might be a HEX way to control merchants and quartermaster prices, means to determine a possible global price reduction that could go as far as 100% for barter, gamble and quartermaster, especially quartermaster.

I am asking this because I noticed a few months ago a big problem with my mod (The Sum) that I didn't anticipate and now creates me some trouble. There is even a guy that made a video presenting the mod in spanish (I think) and the...

I don't know if this a problem that can be solved with the standard FTE but I will ask anyway.

Currently the longest range weapon is the M2 50cal. In real life its accuracy is much shorter than its range. No way someone shooting an M2 will hit someone sitting at the max range of an accurized 7.62/.308 sniper rifle unless that M2 has been accurized by Carlos Hathcock. Hathcock has been dead for years.

Mutants outshooting an 7.62 sniper is lottery grade luck. Much less shooting from the...

FT Booster question

I like using the booster utility but when I ran the game I didn't get the Springfield mission.

Trying to flip it manually the old way by going to the bos.cfg file I noted I didn't see the bos.cfg file when I unpacked everything with the booster utility.

Am I doing something wrong or missing something? I'm looking in the core file.

How to make an item give a perk?

I've tried both making a book or drug give a perk with no success. I know you can just add it to the recruit through the editor, but that's no value to your own character. I've made drugs that add to attributes and other things, like resistance values, yet getting it to add a permanent perk has failed in my attempts.

Any advice?
